Acid-AwayPro helps prevent compressor burnout by removing acid buildup in refrigeration oils of A/C & refrigeration systems. It is shown as highly effective in field test evaluations on a range of compressor sizes, types, brands & severity of burnouts.

Chemical treatment for use in air conditioning and refrigeration systems that have experienced a burnout, or operating systems that are showing buildup in acid content. Acid-Away PRO quickly circulates throughout system and chemically neutralizes acid.
Acid-Away® POE provides a unique approach to help prevent compressor burnouts by effectively removing the acid buildup that occurs in Polyol Ester refrigeration oils used in air conditioning and refrigeration systems. It is a safe and easy to use treatment for both hermetic and semi-hermetic compressors of virtually any size that operates with Polyol Ester lubricants. Eliminates the need for flushing systems with solvents to remove residual acids. Acid Away® for POE has been tested in accordance with ANSI/ASHRAE Standards 86-1983 and 97-1989, and various ASTM standards.
Applications
ACID AWAY® FOR POE may be used to neutralize the residual acid that remains in a refrigeration or air conditioning system after a compressor burnout has occurred and a new compressor has been installed.
ACID AWAY® FOR POE may be used for preventative maintenance in operating refrigeration and air conditioning systems where acid buildup is detected, but a compressor changeout is not yet needed.
ACID AWAY® FOR POE may be used in virtually any size hermetic or semi-hermetic compressor that utilizes a Polyol Ester lubricants.
ACID AWAY® FOR POE may be used in recovery, recycling and reclaiming equipment that operate on Polyol Ester lubricants to neutralize the acid found in old recaptured refrigerants and refrigeration oils.

The 4 fluid ounce unit is a convenient size for use in dosage amounts suitable for treating a broad range of compressor sizes and acid concentrations. Other sizes are available upon request.
Characteristics
• Compatible with all common compressor materials of construction, internal system components and Polyol Ester lubricants.
• Removes residual acid normally left behind in the system after a compressor burnout occurs which can cause a subsequent compressor burnout of the new compressor.
• Suitable for preventative maintenance use to help avoid compressor burnouts resulting from the
buildup of corrosive acids inside air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
• Eliminates the need for flushing systems with solvents or other similar products in an attempt to remove residual acids.
• Eliminates costly multiple oil changes performed to dilute the acid content of the refrigeration oil.
• Minimizes costly service call backs due to repeat compressor failures caused by acid.
• Can be used to treat recovery, recycling and reclaiming units that operate on Polyol Ester lubricants in order to protect them from attack caused by acid fouled
refrigerants and oils.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Determine level of acid contamination in system.
2. Determine system oil capacity.
3. Determine amount of ACID AWAY® FOR POE treatment using Dosage Chart on instruction sheet.
4. Change burned out compressor.
5. Add ACID AWAY® FOR POE treatment.
